Curriculum Overview Certificate in Addiction Ministry

This certificate equips pastoral caregivers to minister compassionately and effectively to individuals and families affected by addiction.

Students develop an understanding of addiction's spiritual, psychological, and physiological dimensions while learning pastoral intervention strategies, support group facilitation, family systems approaches, and recovery spirituality rooted in Catholic tradition.

The curriculum addresses substance abuse, behavioral addictions, treatment options, relapse prevention, and ongoing recovery support.

Graduates establish parish recovery ministries, support Twelve-Step communities, provide pastoral care in treatment settings, and offer hope-filled accompaniment reflecting Christ's redemptive love.
